Lindley Wire-to-Wire Winner of the 42nd Swamp Guinea Open!

After 37 years of participation, Jeff Lindley is the Swamp Guinea Open Champion for the first time! The 42nd SGO started April 26, 2025, and Lindley grabbed the lead in the first round and never looked back. Steady play over 4 days resulted in a runaway victory for the old-time SGOer. The top 5 included Jeff Paniati, Bob Rupert, Kevin Goeddel and his dad, Bobby Goeddel. Wonderful weather for all days on premium courses and another great golf outing. Congratulations to Jeff and all the participants!

The group dinner on Tuesday night at Frank's Outback and Bar in Pawley's Island was an opportunity for the group to acknowledge and celebrate the last of the OG Founders, Gus Mast (6-time SGO Champion) who had to drop out of this year's SGO, and Brian Chollar who participated in his last SGO. We will miss Gus' always good attitude and fun, and Brian's good-natured play and hard work over the years organizing the SGO. Thanks to Gus and Brian for the years they have shared with all of us, and wish them well going forward and hope our paths cross again.
